A few years ago I moved from Canada to Australia and the temperature difference was a massive change and took a lot to get use too. Especially in the Pilbara region where its usually between 40 and 50 degrees, and sunny all day long. I mean even standing in the shade the wind doesn’t even cool you down. Its like standing beside a big fire all day long.
One day we got rained out and were all just sitting around, it was about 45 degrees and I could feel the sweat running down my face and body. Even when I was just sitting in the shade.
Then I seen a workmate with his arms up resting on his head and noticed a small vent in his armpit. My first thought was I wonder if my shirt has that? Sure enough it did.
I said to myself wow that’s useless, you don’t even feel any airflow unless you have you arms stretched up over you head.
But the it hit me, why don’t they have the vent running down the whole side of the body? So I hopped on my phone and looked through google and found nothing. Then when I was back in Perth I went to a few safety shops and asked if they had anything like this but it seamed no one had ever herd or see such a thing.
So I thought maybe I should make some pants and shirts with bigger and better vents.
After time went on and weeks on weeks of sweating my ass off all day every day, I couldn’t stop thinking about how much cooler this would be with better workwear and how no one had ever done it yet. Then on another one of the 45 degree days, when I was drenched in sweat from the moment I walked out of my room until I got back nearly 13 hours later, I said im going to do this.
Then got to work on finding someone who could make a few samples. Once I had them made I wore them for a free weeks at work, and my god! It made a world of difference! So after getting them tested for the Australian standards and making a few changes I ordered a bunch and started selling.
Even the difference it makes after work when you sit down at the pub for a couple cold ones you’re noticeably cooler and more comfortable. You can actually feel the breeze on your skin as you sit back and enjoy a few beers after a long hot day.
There nothing worse then getting out of the cool AC on the bus and starting you long hot walk to you room that’s at the other side of camp. But with cool breeze technology, you can feel that breeze on your legs and the heat escaping your body as you start your walk back.
Some days when your in a machine or an LV and the aircon just can’t quite keep up, its great being able to open the vents or even better point the aircon vents at the airflow vents on the workwear and feel that cool air right on your skin.

Working in heat can be hazardous and can cause harm to workers. The human body needs to maintain a body temperature of approximately 37 degrees Celsius. If the body has to work too hard to keep cool or starts to overheat a worker begins to suffer from heat-related illness.
